Love these place great variety and great service

Please! Do yourself a favor. Buy somewhere else! On 12/20, I placed two orders, paid extra for expedited shipping and a promised delivery of 12/24 if I ordered by 12/22. It is 12/23 today. I was just told by the "manager" at the Rancho Cucamonga, CA location that 100's boxes have been sitting in the back for 3 days, no one had picked up, this is out of their control, that their priority is to tend to in store customers, AND it is not possible for me to just come pick up my order! Further, the woman referenced FEDEX as the carrier, and then when I asked who would be picking up, she said they use UPS! This is literally the biggest scam I've experienced this holiday season! Using a banner promising a 12/24 delivery for $10 extra to drive last minute buyers to purchase on the website, then using standard UPS shipping....maybe! As I said, and in her words "...they haven't picked up in 3 days..." So. I paid extra to have an empty space under the tree and see the disappointment in the face of a child! Perfect! Great job JD Sports!!! Oh, and Customer Service was kind enough to offer me $20 off of my next purchase! Seriously?!!!! As if... BUYER BEWARE! ***In response to the reply from "Owner", If you read my entire review you would know that I DID reach out to customer care! Waited almost an hour to have call drop and then spent an additional hour with a second representative (the one who offered $20 off my NEXT purchase)who literally said "I can try to call that store but they never answer the phone...", then was passed to a call center who "claimed" that my order should "ship today and arrive tomorrow"!!! The matter was not even almost resolved, and let's be crystal clear. This is not a matter of things "not working out as expected". This is a matter of your company making an idle promise in order to make extra money on last minute purchases, including charging for expedited shipping and then keeping the money and not providing the service! And even afterward not allowing people who have paid in full for their orders to at least retrieve them themselves! I seriously hope those extra dollars brighten your Christmas since they most certainly didn't do a thing for the "hundreds" of people like me who have had their orders sitting in your back room for 3 days. Final Update: I did get my order on 12/24 as promised, BUT it did not ship from the Rancho Cucamonga location so it appears that someone may have stepped in and up to ship it from another location and make sure it arrived on time! Thank you!
