I usually love shopping at JD Sports because the customer service is normally excellent. Most of the staff are friendly, helpful, and make the experience enjoyable — which is why I keep coming back. However, during my most recent visit (February 14th at about 5 PM) , I had a very disappointing interaction with an employee who told me her name was Tammi and claimed she was the manager. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I overheard her telling another shopper that she “didn’t want to work with kids,” which was uncomfortable and inappropriate. She repeatedly referred to the younger employees as “kids” in a disrespectful way, which isn’t fair to hardworking staff who are just doing their jobs. When I approached the register, she yelled at me asking whether I was paying with card or cash. Her tone was aggressive and completely unnecessary. A young employee named Chris then stepped in to help me, and he was polite, patient, and professional. While he was assisting me, she began yelling at him about a “sale” in front of customers, which created an awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere. I ended up not buying anything due to the awkward encounter! I also observed inconsistency in how she treated customers. She told one customer she couldn’t hold any sneakers, yet shortly after, she held a pair for another shopper. That lack of fairness was concerning. To make matters worse, when I later spoke to another employee, I was informed that she was not actually the manager, despite her claiming to be. That dishonesty is troubling. I genuinely enjoy shopping here and typically receive the best service when she is not present. I hope management addresses this issue because one negative employee can affect the store’s reputation and potentially cost business. The rest of the team, especially Chris, deserve recognition for their professionalism.

Once again, great visit to the JD sports in Norwalk thanks to Dj. Even when they don’t have exactly what I’m looking for he goes out of his way to locate the item and either help me order it or let me know which location has it in stock. Employees and customer service like this are very hard to find these days. From now on whenever I need anything at JD sports or footwear related. My first stop will definitely be the JD sports in Norwalk to see my man DJ

I went in Saturday and was greeted by a very polite gentleman I think his name was Kennedy he was such a big help and I left with the shoes I wanted😋

I went to the JD Sport Store located at the mall in Norwalk, CT. I was greeted and helped by a gentleman named DJ. He was extremely professional, polite, helpful and went above and beyond to assist my father and I. This is how you keep customers returning and this is how a successful business is ran. Thanks DJ for taking the time to call your boss and making sure that my father and I left with a smile. I hope someone in The JD Sports management sees this and acknowledges this young man because he deserves at least that. Once again, thank you DJ and well done sir!!🙏🏼👏🏼

I went in to buy a pair of sambas yesterday and the staff was so welcoming and helpful. I had my shoes in under 2 minutes and can’t wait to return for my next purchase. Big shout out to the nice young man who helped me. I don’t remember his name, but he had a beard and a nice smile. I love JD sports!

Truth! The folks over at JD in the sono mall are awesome. They had sizes and shoes that other folks didn’t have. We were able to get everything we needed here all in one place highly recommended!
