I’ve always had a great experience shopping at this JD Sports location. Danny, the store manager, and Kay, one of the other managers, really know how to run a store and, most importantly, how to drive sales through excellent customer service. They consistently go out of their way to make sure I’m well taken care of whenever I shop here, and their professionalism truly stands out. I’ve worked in customer service for many years and have managed several stores myself, so I understand what it takes to create a positive shopping experience. The Lakewood team does a great job of staying professional, attentive, and focused on their customers. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about some other locations, especially the Cerritos location. During my last visit there, I saw employees standing around talking among themselves, eating, and drinking Starbucks on the sales floor while customers were in the store and waiting in line to be checked out. As someone with management experience, that is something I would never allow my associates to do while customers are waiting for assistance. This is exactly why I prefer shopping at the Lakewood location. Danny and Kay set a great example of what professional management and customer service should look like. Other locations could definitely take notes from this team on how a store should be operated and how customers should be treated. Keep up the great work, Lakewood team! 👏
